ScaleFocus opens its Plovdiv office with a team dedicated to international projects

At a press conference in the Plovdiv Municipality, the Bulgarian IT company ScaleFocus officially announced the launch of its second office in Bulgaria. The development of this additional center of the company has a strategic goal – to be close to the young specialists, who have received quality education from the Plovdiv universities and grow in the favourable environment that the city offers to the business.

„Modern technologies allow businesses to work on projects for the global market regardless of the physical location of the IT specialists. We, at ScaleFocus, are aware of this advantage, and it was important to build our second Bulgarian development centre in Plovdiv, where there is genuine IT talent. Our focus will be exactly on shaping and improving their potential as part of ScaleFocus team and as students in the years of their studies through our partnerships with the local universities. I believe that ScaleFocus’ international experience will be beneficial for building a strong link between the business and the education”, Plamen Tsekov, CEO and co-founder at ScaleFocus, said.

There are IT experts already working as part of ScaleFocus’ team in Plovdiv on international projects for American customers. The plans are the team in Plovdiv to reach 30-40 people in the following 12-18 months.

„The long-term trend is more and more of the leading companies in the IT and outsourcing field to expand their operations by opening offices in other cities. Plovdiv, which has confirmed its position as a second destination for investment in the sector, expects opening of at least 5,000 new jobs in the next 2-3 years. The major companies in the industry are already planning medium-term expansion and considering Plovdiv for their new offices. Besides the good IT specialists, available at the labour market in the city, the high quality of life is another feature that attracts companies”, said Stefan Stoyanov, Deputy Mayor at Plovdiv Municipality.
